Development of AI tools for mosquito control

ECODEVELOPMENT develops and optimizes AI tools utilized for mosquito control.

State-of-the-art Climate Services

AUTH provides state-of-the-art climate services related to the mosquito control operation of ECODEVELOPMENT. These include provision of tailored high-resolution meteorological services and consulting on seasonal forecast/climate projection data over selected Regions.

Development and Operation of User Platform

ECODEVELOPMENT develops and operates a platform for the systematic provision and visualization of entomological and environmental products for three General Directorates of the Region of Central Macedonia: Public Health, Civil Protection, and Technical Works.

Weather Maps

The MosquitoVision forecasting system is based on the numerical weather prediction model WRF-ARW forced by NCEP/GFS.
The application domains cover the Eastern Mediterranean area in a 10×10 Km resolution and the Region of Central Macedonia,  nested in a 2×2 Km resolution domain.
A 3-D var assimilation technique is implemented in the 5-day weather forecasts.
